Home Visits

Our GPs offer House Visits for housebound patients, or patients who are too sick to attend the Practice in-person. 

Given our vast catchment area, we can be limited in the number of home visits that can be carried out each day. In an effort to ensure effective delivery of this service, we do ask that wherever possible, requests for medically urgent house visits are made before 10am. The Practice is closed between 1pm - 2pm each day to facilitate time for house calls, though GPs may make their rounds before or after this time in response to demand. 

A clinician may phone you before visiting you at home. This is usually to ascertain more information about your symptoms or current condition, ensuring the GP is adequately prepared with the necessary equipment or, where appropriate, medication that may be required. 

We kindly ask that urgent house visits are only requested when there is genuine need. We are happy to accomodate when necessary but we are mindful that practice facilities provide better conditions to examine and treat patients.
